ABOUT HERNES

Five generations of our family have have been custodians of this small piece of England since 1880, the present generation since 1959. The footprint has scarcely changed, though the enterprises have altered over the years to meet the economical and ecological demands of each decade.

Our present challenge is to use the earth’s natural resources as far as is possible in the best interest of the environment.
